The Star Wars empire counterattacks. After the commercial failure of the latest film from the franchise on Han Solo, Disney has decided to raise the bar via several projects for television. First wave with Star Wars Resistance, animated series broadcast in France on Disney XD, which looks back on the origins of Poe Dameron, BB-8 and Captain Phasma, protagonists of the latest film trilogy. A product primarily intended for the youngest as the graphics appear simplistic and nice intrigues.
Two big projects for the Disney + platform
The heaviest is for the future with the start of construction of two series "live", that is to say with real actors. The Mandalorian first, with Pedro Pascal (Narcos), will tell the story of a bounty hunter's woes in adventures taking place shortly before the Jedi Return events. Finally, a prequel to the movie Rogue One will see the day in which Diego Luna will resume his role of the rebel Cassian Andor. These two major projects are planned to feed the new platform of SVOD, Disney +, launched in 2019 and which is already announced as the future major competitor of Netflix.
