Fate/Extella Link Game Adds Altera Larva on January 31

Game also launches for Switch in Japan on January 31.

Marvelous announced on Monday that Altera Larva (Attila Larva) will join Marvelous and Type-Moon's Fate/Extella Link game as a DLC playable character on January 31. The company also began streaming an introduction video for the character.

XSEED Games, a subsidiary of Marvelous, will release the game in the West for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2019. It will be digital-only for the PlayStation Vita through the PlayStation Store.

The game shipped in Japan for the PS4 and PS Vita in June 2018. The Switch version will launch in Japan on January 31.

The Switch version will have a Fleeting Glory Edition with the same bonus content as the PS4 version: the game's soundtrack CD, collectible cards depicting the new Servants, a cloth poster, and an acrylic diorama featuring the Servants Nero, Drake, and Scáthach.

The game is a new work for the Fate/EXTELLA franchise. XSEED Games and Marvelous previously released Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in January 2017. The game launched for the same platforms in Japan in November 2016. Marvelous released a Nintendo Switch version in July 2017. XSEED Games also released a PC version on Steam in July 2017. The game inspired Rōto Usagi's Fate/Ikustella spinoff manga, which launched in March 2018.

Kinoko Nasu wrote the game's main scenario, and Hikaru Sakurai was the scenario assistant. Arco Wada designed the characters, and Takashi Takeuchi was credited as the Fate series original character designer. Type-Moon produced the game's music.
